Bouviers Peak
The layout has now been shown at 2 exhibitions. After the first show, it was found that the fiddle yard shouldn’t have been connected to the incline, so another board was made and the layout is now “U shaped”
So trains now depart down grade and leave via a tunnel.
The layout has the following buildings, I will add on information about them all as time allows.
Station depot scratch built finished
Loco shed just back windows to add rags to riches kit
Loco shed workshop nearly finished, just roof to do
Machine shop banta kit, nearly finished porch to complete
Water tower scratch built finished
Saloon banta kit nearly finished, just roof to complete
Hotel Rags to Richies kit, nearly finished, front porch and railings to complete
Bath house, Rags to Riches kit, finished
General store, Banta kit, finished
Dress store, scratch built finished
Fire station, Mt Albert kit, almost complete, main doors, bell tower and detail to add.
Brewery kit, Mt Albert kit, progressing well, office to finish, some windows to add and loading platforms.

Bouviers Peak how has a hotel, a bathhouse, a store, a theatre, a bunk house and a workshop for the steam shed. This has meant building some more baseboards, but I think it makes the layout look better.
Ballasting is nearly complete and basic scenery is now in place.
The turntable is now converted to DCC control. Locomotives, points and the turntable will be all controlled by iPhones and an app called Withrottle, this works really well!
Pictures will be added, I will get round to it!
Track down and wired. Point motors fitted, DCC installed and ballasting in progress, about 24 feet done, so ahead of plan.
Station depot finished apart from running in boards. Water tower in place. Engine shed started. other builds in hand, staining raw board over the next few weeks and then a building build session!
